RefereesReferees are key to the success of our league. And since the KLA pays $12-18 per game in house league depending on the division, and we run over 150 games per season, it's also a great chance to make some money!
To become a referee you must be 14 years old (or turning 14 this year), and attend the appropriate OLA clinic (box or field). Referees returning from previous years must still attend the OLA clinic to re-certify for the new year and/or move up levels.
If you would like to become a referee in 2007 we are taking names of those interested. Once we find out how many of our existing referees are returning this year we will know how many new referees are needed.
The KLA helps to support referees by subsidizing their clinic costs.
First year referees: OLA clinic cost + Referee Jersey = $50 (KLA subsidy $75)
Returing referees: OLA clinic cost = $50 (KLA subsidy $30-$50)
Timekeepers
We also need timekeepers for our house league and rep team play. The KLA pays $10 per game for this important role.
